This year's Bitan Landscape Exhibition features a "Whale" theme, with a giant water landscape installation shining on Bitan Lake. The event runs from June 22 to August 31, offering over two months of a new adventure destination for the summer.
From 3 PM to 9 PM every day, every half hour, the whale's blowhole will shoot up water columns of varying heights, accompanied by lights and sound effects, simulating a giant whale breathing and swimming on the surface of Bitan Lake. During the day, this giant whale installation serves as a perfect photo backdrop, and at night, its illuminated design is truly breathtaking. The second phase of the Bitan Landscape Exhibition highlights this stunning whale water dance, drawing numerous visitors.
In addition to the whale water dance, the Bitan Landscape Exhibition features colorful performances every weekend. The event kicks off on June 22 with the Zhenai Cultural Arts Troupe, followed by performances from the Feng Yoyo Team, Beixin Elementary String Orchestra, Anguo Dance Troupe, and Xindian Elementary Taiko Drumming Club. The July performances promise even more excitement with the Xihe Elementary National Music Club, Mia Dance Troupe, Wa Taiko Bear Group, Xindian District Line Dance Committee, and Graceful Sign Language Class, making every weekend full of music and dance charm.

While exploring Bitan, you can also participate in a stamp collection and lottery event. From June 17 to July 21, visitors can find 18 hidden QR codes around Bitan, and collecting 10 stamps earns you one entry into the lottery. Collecting all 18 stamps gives you a second entry. Prizes include the latest iPhone 15 PRO, LG Mopping Cleaning Robot, Panasonic Air Purifier, and Dehumidifier, a one-night stay with two meals at Wulai Full Moon Spa, and gift boxes of Wenshan Tea from the New Taipei City Farmers' Association. Lucky winners will be announced on the "New Taipei Tourist FB" on July 26.
The highlight of the event will be the spectacular fireworks shows on the evenings of August 14 and August 21. At 8 PM, dazzling fireworks will light up over the Xindian River for 300 seconds, providing a feast for both the eyes and ears. The best viewing spots are the scenic areas on the east and west banks of Bitan, with the east bank offering a particularly magnificent view of both the landscape and fireworks.
The New Taipei City Government stated that this Bitan Landscape Exhibition not only provides a great spot for citizens to cool off and have fun but also serves as a platform for cultural integration. Through these diverse activities, the exhibition enhances Bitan's tourist appeal and promotes interaction and exchange between citizens and new residents from different cultural backgrounds.
