Recently, Chiayi County has experienced high temperatures and heavy rainfall, making dengue fever prevention urgent. The Chiayi County Health Bureau used a skit to teach the four anti-mosquito tips during a community health screening event at Taibao Elementary School, emphasizing the techniques of "Inspect, Dump, Clean, Brush" to raise public awareness about dengue fever prevention.

The Health Bureau pointed out that if containers with standing water are not promptly removed after rain, it will accelerate the breeding of vector mosquitoes. The Health Bureau urges the public to strengthen weekly inspections and thoroughly implement "Inspect, Dump, Clean, Brush" to prevent mosquito breeding. When engaging in outdoor activities, people should apply mosquito repellent wear long-sleeved clothing and pants, and install screens on doors and windows to reduce the risk of mosquito bites. The public is urged to strengthen weekly inspections and emphasize the importance of "Inspect, Dump, Clean, Brush". If bitten by a vector mosquito and symptoms of dengue fever appear, such as fever, headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, and rash, it is important to seek medical attention promptly and provide information about travel history, occupation, contact history, and any clustering to help health authorities contain the outbreak and prevent its spread.

Health Bureau Director Chao Wen-Hua stated that dengue fever has entered its epidemic period. The Health Bureau conducts irregular inspections of public offices and villages. If breeding sources are found, fines of NT$3,000 to NT$15,000 will be imposed according to Article 25 and Article 70 of the Communicable Disease Control Act. The Health Bureau calls on the public to follow the "Inspect, Dump, Clean, Brush" guidelines to strictly prevent the occurrence of dengue fever and protect the health environment of Chiayi County.
