A total of 44 representatives of national venues, festival directors, and curators from Europe, America, Asia, etc. were invited to Taiwan as part of “2023 Taiwan Week” of National Theater & Concert Hall to see the performances of the Taiwanese performance team. The grand opening will take place on April 9th and will run for 7 days. Through hosting this worldwide event, the world will have a better understanding of Taiwanese culture and the wide range of free artistic expression, dispelling misconceptions about Taiwan's uncertain geographic situation.
The "Taiwan Week" project was introduced by the National Theater & Concert Hall in 2020 with the intention of promoting Taiwan's culture by establishing connections between foreign theaters and performing arts networks. The plan was postpended in force formally until 2023 because of the pandemic.

The art director of National Theater & Concert Hall made the point that they would plan activities considering Taiwan's stunning scenery and delectable cuisine in order to show that Taiwanese people maintain a calm disposition while living life in the midst of stressful circumstances. Since many people outside of Taiwan may be aware from reports in the international media that the situation in Taiwan may not be stable.
