On July 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 25 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 25 new cases, 21 are domestic and the other four are imported. The CECC reported no deaths today.

The CECC pointed out that of the 21 domestic cases (of whom, eight tested positive while they were in home isolation or completed their isolation period), 14 are men and the other 7 are women, aged between under 10 to 89 years old. They began to suffer the onset of symptoms between July 24 and July 28, 2021. Regarding those domestic cases, Chiayi County reported most cases, at 9, and Taipei City had the second highest number, at 7. New Taipei City reported 4 cases, and Kaohsiung City reported 1 case.
Regarding the four new imported cases, Case #15752 is an American woman in her 20s. She traveled to Taiwan from the US on July 28. She was tested for COVID-19 at the airport, and infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 30.
Case #15753 is a Taiwanese boy under the age of 10. He returned to Taiwan from the US on July 28. He was tested for COVID-19 at the airport, and infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 30.
Case #15754 is a Taiwanese woman in her 40s. She returned to Taiwan from the Philippines on July 1. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 13 before the end of her quarantine period, and the test result was negative. She took a COVID-19 test arranged by the company she worked for on July 28, and infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 30(the CT value was 39).
Case #15768 is a Taiwanese male in his 50s. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 in Indonesia on July 4, and took an international air ambulance back to Taiwan on July 29. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 30.
The CECC reported that a total of 2,021,090 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 2,004,528. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 15,662 cases. Of the 15,662 confirmed cases, 1,266 are imported; 14,343 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 2 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 108 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 787 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 787 deaths, 779 are from domestic cases and the other 8 are from imported cases.
