With the relaxation of entry restrictions for people from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, National Immigration Agency has begun accepting applications for short-term visits of people from mainland China to visit relatives in Taiwan. The following tips are provided by New Taipei City Service Center to smooth the application procedure.

Regardless of whether you identified as "Taiwanese Citizens", "Nationals without household registration in the Taiwan area", "People of the mainland China", "Hong Kong and Macau residents", or "foreigners.” Relevant delivery instructions and application forms are provided at the NIA website. It can be timesaving to fill them out in advance.
2, Give service center calls before delivery
Please call the New Taipei City Service Center (02-82282090, extension 431 for foreigners, extension 432 for mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese), and confirm with the staff at the service center in advance to avoid inconvenience.
3, Avoid peak times
When heading to the service center, please try to avoid peak times at noon but choose times in the morning or afternoon when the service center is less crowded.
The border management control measures will be adjusted with the development of the epidemic situation. The latest relevant regulations are provided on the NIA website - Border Control and Epidemic Prevention Zone
Please continue to take anti-epidemic measures; wash your hands frequently, wear a mask, and maintain social distance. In addition, if new immigrants encounter problems living in Taiwan, please call the "1990 Consultation Line for Foreigners Living in Taiwan".
