【Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】The 2023 Taiwan Traditional Theatre Festival will be held from April 6 to May 28. The theme of the festival is “Hyperspace”. The performances include 12 performing groups, which will present 53 rounds. Combining traditional opera with interdisciplinary productions, all the shows will bring a unique watching experience to the audience.

Taiwan Traditional Theatre Festival has been held since 2018. It not only received critical acclaim from the domestic audience but was also appreciated by the international.
The curator of this festival Chang, Chi-feng said that heroes always exist in the story. In this festival, the “hero” is the main issue and anyone can discover or question what the hero is by the vision that is beyond time.

The 2023 edition will present two flagship productions at the main theater and experimental theater. “Shiu-Kim Taiwanese Opera Troupe” and “Our Theatre” will perform stories based on the history of the “Kingdom of Tungning” at the main theater. At the experimental theater, the performers will present interdisciplinary productions. The 2023 Taiwan Traditional Theatre Festival will start on April 6. The performers can’t wait to show their best.
