The Taoyuan Police Department organized a one-month enforcement group for electric bicycles, in aim to reduce electric bicycle accidents. The Police department hopes by strictly enforcing the law, they can ensure the rights of pedestrians.
The Taoyuan also provided a multiple language poster for migrant workers. The posters are designed in four languages, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino.
The electric bicycle is an important transportation means for the migrant workers. And many migrant workers travel between Zhongli and Longtan (Taoyuan) to get to work.

Therefore, the Taoyuan Police Department organized an enforcement group for electric bicycles starting from April 30 and will end on May 20. The Police department hopes to help migrant workers stay safe on the road while riding the electric bicycle.
Traffic team leader of the Pingzhen Police Department Wang Rui-Cheng mentions, many electric bicycles happened because it is not required to have a driver’s license to ride an electric bicycle. Many people are actually unfamiliar with the traffic laws or Vehicle operation, but they are driving on the road. The Police department hopee to insure raod traffic safety.
