During her time in Taiwan, Aya (pseudonym), a disconnected Filipino migrant worker, gave birth to a daughter who is now five years old with her migrant partner from her homeland. Aya's daughter, however, is forced to live in hiding with her as a result of the fact that she has already overstayed her visa. As her daughter got older and had common sense, she frequently questioned Aya about why she couldn't attend school and why she had to hide. As a result, Aya took the decision to go to the Hsinchu County Specialized Corps. of National Immigration Agency to self-report.

Later, Aya just so happened to saw the NIA's “Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program” on the Internet and determined not to hide anymore, she took her daughter to self-report at the NIA Hsinchu County Specialized Corps.
The mother and daughter's travel paperwork were completed with the help of the Specialized Corps. team, and flight tickets were also reserved for a quick return to the nation. The “Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program” would conclude on June 30, according to the s NIA Hsinchu County Specialized Corps. The persons who have overstayed in Taiwan are urged to seize the chance and self-report as soon as possible. Those who self-report will be handled leniently, with no detention, minimum fine, and no entry bans and other measures.
