CECC confirms 12 more imported COVID-19 cases

On November 26, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 12 new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the 12 new imported cases, they are nine men and three women, aged between 10 to 49 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia (three cases), Indonesia (six cases), Myanmar, Cambodia, and China. They arrived between November 11 and November 25.

The CECC reported that a total of 4,394,659 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 4,376,567. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,566 cases. Of the 16,566 confirmed cases, 1,922 are imported; 14,590 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 111 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 848 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 848 deaths, 836 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
