Australia Bushfires: New Resident Wu Feng's Appeal for Daily Environmental Protection

Australia Bushfires: New Resident Wu Feng's Appeal for Daily Environmental Protection

Australia is facing the worst wildfires seen in decades, and the burned area is equivalent to three times the size of Taiwan. Since the heatwave is usually expected to peak between the end of January and early February, the bushfires are expected to burn more than one month. In response to this global issue, Wu Feng, who is a new resident from Turkey, an online key opinion leader, and has a Taiwanese wife, calls on people to protect this world by doing daily environmental protection on his Facebook page.

Wu Feng states, " the pictures of Australia bushfires in recent days I saw might be one of the most terrifying images in my whole life, and the most terrifying fact is that we, as humans. created this tragedy. Have you heard of the "Butterfly Effect"? We, on the other side of the world, are misusing environmental resources and make this world warmer and warmer. Now, the world has become hotter and hotter, and there's even no winter in Taiwan. Turkey's winter also starts very late."

Wu Feng further advises that although more and more people have worked hard to invent eco-friendly machines or new technology, humans destroying is several times faster than the Earth's recovery. Although we all need resources, we at least can improve some ways of living, such as reducing the use of plastic bags, using power-saving appliances, using your tableware, recycling...etc. It is advised to cultivate people's environmental awareness and practice environmental protection in their daily life.
