The "Summer Waves at the North Coast" beach recreation series officially kicks off at the three major beach destinations on the North Coast: Baisha Bay, Qianshui Bay, and Zhongjiao Bay. The opening ceremony featured an exciting performance by the Sanzhi Fucheng Community Taiko Drum Team, accompanied by energetic dance and romantic ballads, giving participants an early taste of the cool and joyful summer by the sea.

Chen Yu-Chuan, Director of the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration under the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, stated that this event not only offers a wide range of recreational activities but also emphasizes marine education and water safety courses. The goal is for everyone to enjoy the ocean while ensuring their safe return and to raise awareness of sustainable marine protection.
Zhongjiao Bay is leading the way with the coolest water activities, offering beginner-friendly SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding) and advanced surfing activities from Friday, August 2nd to Sunday, August 4th. These activities are combined with water safety and marine sustainability knowledge, allowing participants to engage with the ocean up close.
Qianshui Bay will celebrate the romantic Qixi Festival on August 10th, featuring performances by talented singer Luo Meiling, singer-songwriter and Golden Bell host Ke Dabao, and emerging street singer Yang Sixian. These performances, along with local acts such as the Sanzhi Fucheng Community Taiko Drum Team and the Sanzhi Elementary School Guzheng Club, will create a strong coastal love song atmosphere. Additionally, from August 10th to August 19th, Qianshui Bay will host an art installation exhibit along the coast, where visitors can take photos and enter a draw for prizes and discount vouchers.
The activities at Baisha Bay are even more exciting. From Thursday, August 22nd to Friday, August 30th, Baisha Bay will host the "Baisha Bay Bubble Paradise," inviting families to enjoy safe water play and offering free water safety courses and water toy rentals. Moreover, on the weekends of August 24th-25th and August 31st-September 1st, Baisha Bay will also feature the "Baisha Bay Splash Market," bringing together local artisans and food vendors, allowing visitors to enjoy food and shopping while having fun in the water

The "Summer Waves at the North Coast" series not only enriches summer beach life but also provides an opportunity for people to learn important marine knowledge and conservation awareness while enjoying the ocean.
