According to Bongbong Marcos vows to prioritize teachers’ welfare | Inquirer News, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on World Teachers' Day that the government will put educators' welfare first. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. pledged to help the teachers and stated that he appreciated their efforts.

Assuring teachers that he will put their wellbeing and the welfare of their families first, Marcos stated that they acknowledge the sacrifices made by teachers for the country's children.

According to Unesco's website, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) together created World Teachers' Day.

According to Bongbong Marcos vows to prioritize teachers’ welfare | Inquirer News, the Recommendation Concerning the Status of Teachers, which establishes benchmarks for teachers' rights and obligations, initial preparation and continuing education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions, was established on October 5, according to Unesco. This date is celebrated annually.
