Is the natural juice the healthiest? Research: Overdose increases the rate of early death

The medical profession has repeatedly called for a reduction in the intake of sugary drinks to avoid increasing the risk of obesity and various diseases. But even drinking too much 100% pure juice may increase the chance of early death? The latest study will make everyone surprise.

According to CNN, a study published in the “JAMA Network Open” journal on May 17pointed out that the rate of early deaths increased from 9% to 42% for those who overdose juice. Although orange juice is a natural drink, its sugar content is almost the same as that of other sugary drinks, so the intake must be moderate.

To find out why African-Americans are more likely to die from stroke than other ethnic groups, and why the incidence of stroke in the southwestern United States is higher than in other parts of the country, the researchers examined the health status of 13,440 adults over 45 years old, 60% are men, 71% have reached the level of overweight or obesity.

The results showed that people who consumed more than 10% of their daily calorie intake from sugary beverages had 44% increased risk of death from cardiovascular disease and the risk of premature death from other causes has also increased by 14%.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, children aged 1 to 6 should not drink more than 6 ounces (171 grams) per day of juice and no more than 8 ounces for children over 7 years old (227 grams).
