France and other European nations have been gripped by a bedbug hysteria since October. South Korea has also had a bedbug outbreak. Taiwan has already started to see cases. When a guest at a hotel in Taipei's Wanhua District noticed bedbugs crawling out from under his pillow, he was horrified. Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism set up future inspections right away after received the notice and advised the hotel owners to improve environmental cleanliness and disinfect as soon as possible.

According to a professor from National Taiwan University's Department of Entomology, bedbugs may survive for at least a year and can deposit their eggs wherever. Those who are bitten will develop a rash and have one to two weeks of irritation. The majority of bedbugs are come from travel, when they may creep into purses or baggage from lodgings, trains, and other modes of transportation. People are therefore urged to put their garments straight into the washing machine after returning from a trip in order to wash and destroy them thoroughly.

Additionally, the cleaning business mentioned that while bedbugs will perish at 60 degrees, their eggs will hatch in seven days. If they are found, the initial environmental spray will not be able to eradicate them entirely, and you will only be able to spray twice in seven days., and even while bedbugs don't have the ability to spread through vectors, the discomfort they inflict to humans' bodies—including pain and itching—will still pose problems for regular families and the hotel sector.

People are advised that using cold packs or anti-itching cream to their skin is an option if they discover evidence of bedbug bites. In the event that bedbugs are thought to be present at home, the mattress can be ironed with a steam iron or hair dryer once any bedbug residue has been examined. Insecticides can be used in conjunction with high-temperature procedures to eradicate them.
