This week is the Lunar New Year, students are starting to work part-time jobs for living expenses as schools are on winter vacation, which is when fraud often occurs. NIA Yunlin County Service Center and the Yunlin County Brigade jointly held an anti-fraud publicity at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology to remind foreign students to be vigilant and understand new types of fraudulent methods to avoid being frauded.

The current scam method uses Internet media to spread false news. By presenting cases, NIA Yunlin County Service Center and the Yunlin County Brigade explain the new methods of fraud and reminds everyone to verify carefully if they have any doubts about misleading information.

In addition, many service industries offer high-paying job vacancies with exaggerated benefits to attract students during the Spring Festival. When applying for a job, please be more careful in verifying evidence. Don't be lured into a trap by money and become a victim of human trafficking.

According to the director (陳駿璿) of Yunlin County Service Center, National Immigration Agency cares about foreign students study in Taiwan. In the recent past, fraud incidents have multiplied. Again, one should be skeptical of inflated marketing and online news to safeguard themselves and their family.
