According to Marcos unveils Philippines' path to progress | The Star, on September 27, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. presided over the unveiling of the NIASD, National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document.

Together with Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, and Economic Development Chief Arsenio Balisacan, Marcos unveiled the idea at a launch event in Manila's Metropolitan Theater.

According to Marcos in his address, the NIASD has the blueprint that would expedite the nation's innovation governance and foster a culture of innovation among scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and of course, people.

The President claims that the paper demonstrates a dedication to incorporating innovation into the national agenda.

According to a statement from the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda), this document outlines the Philippine’s vision and long-term goals for innovation. It also serves as an outline and strategy guide to enhance innovation governance, deepen and speed up the efforts, and encourage the integration of public-private partnerships in advancing innovation.

The paper complies with the Philippine Innovation Act, also known as Republic Act 11293. Marcos gave his blessing to the NIASD on June 30, 2023.

The NIASD has ambitions from 2023 to 2032, according to Neda.

According to Marcos unveils Philippines' path to progress | The Star, over 700 people attended the event, which had the slogan "Reshaping the Future, Advancing Filipinnovation," including Teodoro Herbosa, the secretary of health, Arsenio Balisacan, and others.
