Family’s economic burden is not to blame. A new resident have won with the national Piety Awards

The Vietnamese Lishi Jinxian came married to a Taiwanese and came here to improve the economic situation of her family. After the marriage, the parents of her husband fall ill one after the other. she faced the huge debts of her husband and the medical expenses, but she shouldered all the economic responsibilities without complaint. Her strong determination also allowed her to win the Piety Awards.

Lishi Jinxian came married to a Taiwanese and came here to improve the economic situation of her Vietnamese family. However, after marriage, she faced the huge debts of her husband and his cancer; in addition, her father-in-law was unable to take care of herself because he has suffered a cerebral embolism; her mother-in-law suddenly, also suffered and stroke and her second son, because he has a congenital heart defect, was admitted to the ICU. Lishi Jinxian shouldered the responsibility of taking care of this family and has worked extremely hard to keep the wolf from the door.

Miss Jinxian faced the difficulties of her environment, but she refused to abandon the in-laws, otherwise she have been taking care of them for a long time, treating them as their biological parents. She has put all her heart into her Taiwanese family and, after all this time, she feels no resentment at all.

Taiwanese people used to say: "Marry a chicken follow a chicken, marry a dog, follow a dog" (follow the man you marry). This expression is gradually disappearing, however, the experience of the Lishi Jinxian after marrying a Taiwanese can be compared with the traditional wife of Taiwan’s previous generation: "Traditional, docile, always looking for the recognition of her family." In fact, the spirit of the saying: “In one thousand books, in ten thousand essays, filial piety is always the first” keeps being thought-challenging.
