Li Zhi Yuan once served as a musician & goodwill ambassador for a state banquet held by the late former President Lee Teng-hui (李登輝). This also made him determined to promote South American music in Taiwan, and he even invited his younger brother Li Ju Sheng (李居聖), who was a national football player in Bolivia, to promote their hometown music in Taiwan.

Li Zhi Yuan reminisced about his past when he first came to Taiwan. He lost his passport at the payphone when he made a call to his family. After three days, he went back to the payphone and was surprised to see the passport was still there. Therefore, he regarded Taiwan as a safe country ever since then. Growing up in a family that has a strong love for music, Li Zhi Yuan is no exception and he started learning a variety of musical instruments since young.

Besides increasing the visibility of the hometown music, Li Zhi Yuan and Li Ju Sheng also established a business named “Exotic handicrafts from South American Uncles” that sells exquisite decorations, bracelets, and dreamcatchers, etc.
