Refuse to be one of the victim of human trafficking Immigration Department in Taoyuan Station reminds oversea candidates to be aware when seeking for a job.

Recently, there have been frequent incidents of overseas job scam. Many Taiwanese are tempted to go develop abroad by hearing “High-Paying and low-threshold employment”, but turns into ‘’hostage’ instead. Throughout the time, Taoyuan Service Station have received many calls from the citizens and even request access to check on the travel records, in order to  confirm whether their family member has become one of the victims of human trafficking. Therefore, Taoyuan Service Station called on Professor Zan-Song Huang and Shi-Mei Tai from Department of Criminal Justice of Ming Chuan University, and students who intern at the service station for help to promote the trap of overseas job scams and remind teenagers to not get lured by high salaries and travel to dangerous countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Dubai, etc…

Director Huang Yinggui of the Taoyuan City Service Station said that seven college students doing service learning during summer vacation this year from contracted tactical alliance Ming Chuan University. Apart from letting the students understand more about the inseparable relationship between The Civil Affairs Bureau and New Immigrants, learn to respect multi-culture, acknowledge the differences of each other and learn how to cope with it, and nurture new vanguard. In response to the recent job scams, Directors also specially promoted to Ming Chuan teachers and students to observe carefully for overseas jobs in order to prevent one from becoming a "hostage" and be a victim of human trafficking.

The Taoyuan City Service Station of the Immigration Department explained that the entry and exit records belong to personal data. If the person to be inquired is an adult, except for the original identity card from the person applying for inquiry, he/she must also bring the identity card or passport of the person that he/she is asking for the personal travel record; if it is impossible to obtain the original identity card or passport of the person to be inquired, he/she is allow to bring the registration form issued by the police agency to receive missing persons cases within three months to inquire about the last entry and exit record.
