The Economic Development Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government recently hosted a rice dumpling cooking event (粽夏YA之旅) at "Sanfeng Central Street" (三鳳中街) to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. On that day, almost 300 individuals, including new immigrants and more than a dozen international students from Pakistan and India, produced rice dumplings together. Many of them have their own experience creating rice dumplings.

Every Dragon Boat Festival, according to the chairman (伍進昌) of the Sanfeng Central Street District Administration that Sanfeng Central Street will host rice dumpling activities. He thinks that the tradition of producing rice dumplings should be reserved and passed down to future generations, including foreigners. The major north-south retail route in the south is Sanfeng Central Street, which is also well-stocked with ingredients for rice dumplings such shiitake mushrooms, scallops, and dried shrimp.

According to the Economic Development Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, the activity of Sanfeng Central Street this year was incredibly well-liked. People can bring back 10 rice dumplings by spending only 50 NTD, in addition to enjoying the delight of creating rice dumplings.
