Recently, the Pearl S. Buck Foundation of Taipei City has held a charity dinner named "Sai Pearl’s Eternal New Love". In addition to charity auctions and fundraising, the event also saw new residents sell handmade ginger products and hand-made soap “Ai Nanyang” for charitable purposes.

According to the “Yahoo News” report, the Pearl S. Buck Foundation is the only organization in Taiwan that supports the adoption of children born in multinational marriages. It has so far accompanied the growth of more than a thousand children of new resident families. After long-term efforts, the number of children living under economically disadvantaged condition has dropped from 300 to about 250.

However, due to the increasing number of people who need assistance from all over the island, the Foundation has held a charity dinner of “Sai Pearl’s Eternal New Love”, looking for the support of the people from different social classes and businesses working in all fields to offer sponsorship to disadvantaged children. With this priceless support, it is hoped that the kids can soon get rid of poverty through education and shape their own future.
