This year, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a department of the Indian Ministry of Education, traveled to Taiwan to carry out academic exchanges with several universities. Recently, representatives from eleven universities, including National Taiwan University and the Deputy Minister of Education, visited Taiwan again to talk with AICTE. Chairman Gundurao Sitharam Thallak convened talks with forty educational institutions to foster talent in the finance and semiconductor domains.

During the symposium, the Deputy Minister of Education stated that Taiwan has recently opened special classes in a number of subjects, particularly new special classes for foreign students to encourage foreign students to visit Taiwan. Taiwan also continues to foster semiconductor cooperation between India and Taiwan and to jointly cultivate talent. By means of this Representatives from 50 institutions in Taiwan and India inked cooperation agreements at the conference. In an effort to encourage more deserving Indian students to study in Taiwan in the future, the Taiwan team will also tour a number of universities.
The Ministry of Education said that the number of Indian students attending Taiwan's colleges and universities has been rising, indicating that Indian students are aware of Taiwan's high educational standards. In order to foster diverse talent growth, it is hoped that more Taiwanese institutions would collaborate with Indian universities.
