The Kaohsiung Center of the Good Shepherd social Welfare Foundation invites new immigrant lecturers to co-organize violence prevention courses to make participants aware of women's issues that they may encounter in their daily lives. This is done to increase awareness about women's issues and the prevention of domestic violence among new immigrants.
The Fengshan New Immigrant Service Center is managed by the Kaohsiung Center of the Good Shepherd social Welfare Foundation, which is dedicated to the task of nurturing new immigrants and creates a variety of instructional materials based on the broad knowledge of their various nationalities. Amie, a new immigrant from the Philippines, instructed the participants on how to create Zentangle artwork at this event.

A new immigrant (涵真) from the mainland China claimed that after moving to Taiwan, she experienced domestic abuse. Fortunately, with the help of social workers, she was able to flee the dangerous environment and started to acclimate to life once more. She wants to remind everyone that domestic abuse includes not only physical pain but also emotional trauma. She sincerely hopes that everyone can avoid and prevent it from happening.
