The AI era has arrived, and related gig opportunities are becoming increasingly popular. According to a recent survey by 104 Human Resources Bank released on July 2nd, approximately one out of every four university students plans to work part-time during the summer, with emerging AI gig opportunities rapidly increasing. Chang Bao-Ling, Chief Marketing Officer of 104 Human Resources Bank, noted that post-pandemic, there has been a significant increase in manpower demand in consumer services such as catering and retail, making labor shortages the new norm since 2022. With graduation season and summer approaching, companies are actively recruiting to meet the surge in summer consumer demand.

According to statistics, the catering industry dominates the part-time job opportunities on the 104 platform, currently offering over 16,000 positions. On average, there are 18.7 opportunities per person, marking a 7.2% increase from the same period last year. Retail job opportunities exceed 7,900, with an average of 10.4 opportunities per person, showing a 9.2% increase from the previous year. Additionally, opportunities in live streaming have experienced a 7.2% annual increase, tying with catering for second place. This growth is attributed to the impact of social media traffic economics.

The AI boom has similarly influenced the gig market. The number of AI-related gig opportunities on the 104 Human Resources Bank platform has exceeded 2,000. Examples include AI image annotation, engineering internships, and language model data organization, which are open to all majors, allowing individuals without a STEM background to explore different fields.

Among the high-paying AI gigs, the top spot goes to "AI-related tutors," with hourly rates starting at NT$572 and peaking at NT$1,500. With the rise of the AI trend, there is a strong demand for related courses, leading to popular programs such as Python programming, digital programming, machine learning, image recognition, information security, GPT application, and AI music creation.

Students from related fields can gain practical AI experience through these internships. The fifth spot is occupied by "English translators/interpreters," who possess fluent bilingual communication skills and can participate in AI development tasks such as image tagging, video annotation, and speech transcription.

In summary, with the advent of the AI era, the demand for related gig opportunities and high-paying job categories has significantly increased. University students who seize these opportunities can not only earn high wages but also lay a solid foundation for future career development. As market demands evolve, AI-related gig positions will continue to increase, becoming the preferred choice for the new generation of gig workers.
