National Immigration Launches "Free rental" of laptops and tablets for new immigrants to use at home

To encourage new residents to continue their studies at home, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) a "free rental" for laptops and tablets program in 2021. With "Surfing the net, with contactless teaching" as the idea, new immigrants can have access to resources allowing them to continue their studies.

The NIA Taoyuan City Service Station actively promotes relevant information through various channels to reach new immigrant audiences.

This project is exclusively for new immigrants and begins today. New immigrants can make appointments through the consultation hotline or by visiting the NIA service stations. New immigrants can enjoy unlimited 4G data and a laptop or tablet can be rented for free for 30 days. The rental can be renewed 2 times before the expiry date, with 90 days as the longest rental period.

Priority will be given to those coming from low or middle-income households, families with special circumstances, family members with disabilities

Director of the NIA Taoyuan City Service Station Huang Ying-kuei 黃英貴 stated that through this project, new immigrants can gain experiences in e-learning and enrich their own lives. All they have to do is grab the opportunity! The sooner you apply, the sooner you can experience this opportunity.

New immigrants can visit the official "New Immigrants in Taiwan" website. Just register and log in to the website and you can have access to free e-learning courses. It is simple, convenient and makes learning at home easy.
