According to the Tainan City Government, on December 4, the 2022 Tainan is Young Christmas and New Year's Eve Festivities Series will begin. Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che stated at a press conference on Nov. 29 at Madou Tsung Yeh Arts and Cultural Center that this year's festivities will feature six thrilling concerts and family events. He invited everyone to come see the shows the following weekends.

The mayor stated that this year's event venues will be spread out at numerous sites rather than staging a single event at the Shalun HSR station in order to enable easier access to the performances.
Huang also stated that the municipal government organized these events in the hopes of providing a comfortable and interesting Christmas and New Year holiday for the public, as well as a joyful start to the new year.
