The Taichung City Tourism and Travel Bureau hosted the "2024 Taichung Hot Spring Season - Heartwarming Bathing" event at Guguan Hot Spring Plaza on October 5th. The event will continue until October 31st, allowing the public to enjoy special discounts at hot spring hotels and have a chance to participate in a raffle for accommodation vouchers.
Director of the Tourism Bureau, Chen Mei-hsiu, stated that this year's Hot Spring Season features four main activities, including the “Hot Spring Music Concert and Tribal Market,” “Hot Spring Hotel Discounts,” the “Guguan and Atayal Adventure” free guided tours, and the “Hot Spring Accommodation Registration Lottery.” During the event, visitors can experience indigenous and yukata clothing for free at locations such as Guguan Suspension Bridge and Meiji Hot Spring Old Street. There will also be a photo check-in raffle with prizes, including hot spring vouchers.

The Tourism Bureau stated that during the Hot Spring Season, the city government has collaborated with hot spring operators to offer special hotel discounts for tourists. Additionally, from now until October 31st, visitors who stay at designated hotels can participate in the "Hot Spring Accommodation Registration Lottery." The grand prize is a stay at the HOSHINOYA Guguan Hot Spring Resort, with additional prizes including accommodation vouchers for the Uni-Resort Guguan, Freshfields Hot Spring Hotel, and other accommodations. The public is encouraged to seize this opportunity to experience a hot spring getaway in Taichung.
To promote Taichung's hot spring tourism, the city government has launched the “100 Tour Groups, 1 Million Prizes” program since May, offering a reward of NT$10,000 for each group organized by travel agencies to Guguan and Lishan.
