In a recent Internet observation study, "Social Lab" ranked the most popular Taiwanese delicacies among international visitors by examining their online discussions regarding topics pertaining to Taiwanese food.

This time, "Social Lab" tracked the volume of topics related to "Foreign tourists are hotly discussing Taiwanese food" on the Internet over the course of the previous year using the "OpView Social Word-of-mouth Database" (OpView社群口碑資料庫)and discovered that eight Taiwanese delicacies had sparked intense discussions among foreign tourists.

"Stinky tofu" is the most talked-about item in this ranking, which gives many international visitors a sense of novelty as well as fear. "Pearl Milk Tea" comes in second. "Beef Noodles" comes in third place. Given that Taiwanese beef noodles are its signature dish and are well-known worldwide, some internet users feel that beef noodles best symbolize Taiwan.
