According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 433 new cases on Sunday, matching the number of new infections reported on Christmas Day, bringing the total caseload to 2,838,640.

The Department of Health reported that 392 of the 433 patients tested positive for the new coronavirus over the last 14 days, or between December 13 and 26.

Around 0.3 percent of the total number of active cases, or 9,522, are still "active cases," but 42.3 percent of them have only moderate or no symptoms.

The following is a list of active cases: There are 3,574 patients with light symptoms, 3,339 with moderate symptoms, 1,777 with severe symptoms, 458 with no symptoms, and 374 in serious condition.

After 283 fresh recoveries, the total number of recoveries now stands at 2,777,918.

In addition, 13 individuals have died as a result of the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 51,200.

"Same range as yesterday, same amount of cases." The low number of deaths is encouraging," OCTA Research fellow Guido David stated of the current case count.

"We predict $433 to be the highest limit of our projection. "Let's keep following the health protocols," David added.

On Saturday, the professor stated that the number of infections has continued to rise "slightly."
