The Kaohsiung City Government Youth Bureau continues to host different entrepreneurial tutoring programs, encourages youth entrepreneurship subsidies, and offers financial aid for marketing, rent, and other expenditures in an effort to inspire young people to launch their own firms. It aspires to establish a varied culinary culture in the city by empowering new caterers to employ regional foods.

The Kaohsiung City Youth Bureau specifically included two subsidized restaurants, a Spanish restaurant and a Japanese restaurant, to supply the people with great cuisine because autumn is the finest time of year to enjoy seafood like crabs and eels.

According to the Youth Bureau, Spain's Basque Country is home to the chef of the Spanish restaurant, Jon. Jon's grandma taught him many of the secrets of her private Spanish cookery. He met his wife in Taiwan after moving there to pursue his studies, since they shared a passion for cooking. Jon made the decision to study at the Basque Culinary School once again before moving back to Taiwan to start a restaurant.

The person in charge of Japanese restaurant has also made several inspection trips to Japan and actively promoted Japanese eel-eating culture in Taiwan, which has led to the restaurant being approved as a Taiwan Sake Association dining venue. In the future, the Youth Bureau also expects to see the development of more ethnic eateries in Taiwan.
