Kaohsiung City Veterans Service Department invites new residents to join "Happy Family Recognition" grand event

Kaohsiung City Veterans Service Department, VAC organized 2021 "New Residents Adaptation & Counseling" and "Happy Family Recognition" activities. The event was hosted by the Director of Kaohsiung City Veterans Service Department Huang Kun Zong (黃昆宗), and there were more than 60 people attended, including the personnel, veterans and their spouses. The selected "Happy Families" were publicly praised during the event as well.

National Immigration Agency (NIA), Social Affairs Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Gangshan Veterans Home were also invited to share relevant laws and regulations and life consultation information.

A special guest, Professor Lin Zhong Xiu (林仲修) lectures on the topic of "Old married couple, Hold hands forever", sharing the secrets of keeping mutual tolerance between husbands and wives, and also strengthening bonds between them. In the process, videos of short stories were presented to convey the emotional exchanges between husbands and wives which struck a chord among participants.

Huang Kun Zong encourages the veterans to cherish their new resident spouses who have traveled a long journey to Taiwan. Married couples should tolerate, encourage, respect and love each other to create a blessed and peaceful family life. He presented each couple with exquisite gifts, and the event ended on a high note.
