According to 95% of Filipinos spend more on food, but half of population is eating less | Inquirer News, more than half of Filipinos have started eating less, according to a recent Pulse Asia poll, even though 95% of them have raised their food expenditure.

According to the latest study, household spending on food increased from 89 percent in September 2022 to 95 percent in the last three months.

According to Pulse Asia, a slim majority of individuals (53 percent) believe they consumed less food during the same period even though virtually all adults (95 percent) claim to have spent more money on food during the previous quarter.

When comparing different regions, it was found that Mindanao has cut its food consumption by 65 percent, with Balance Luzon coming in second at 56 percent.

In contrast, 46 percent of Visayas and 56 percent of Balance Luzon consumed less food. The majority of persons reduced their eating, at 63 percent across all classes, were in Class E. Class D comes in second with 52% of the vote and Class ABC in third with 42%.

Additionally, electricity accounted for a significant portion of household spending, accounting for 62 percent, with gasoline or diesel coming in second at 22 percent.

Water (16%), LPG (15%), transportation (13%), cellular load (4%), leisure (3%), and other (3%), were the expenses given in order of their respective percentages.

There were multiple choice questions in the poll, which had 1,200 participants. According to 95% of Filipinos spend more on food, but half of population is eating less | Inquirer News, a 95% level of confidence was used to calculate the survey's error margin, which was 2.8%.
