Taipei Main Station transforms into a tea-scented healing haven as the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications hosts the "Cooling Tea Spa" experience event, organized by the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration. Director-General Chou Yung-Hui and distinguished guests attended the event, creating a lively atmosphere. Hundreds of domestic and international tourists participated, enjoying the therapeutic process of tea leaf steam facials and eye masks, indulging in a comprehensive sensory feast.
At the event, Director-General Chou Yung-Hui highlighted that Taiwanese tea is renowned internationally, encompassing the diverse cultural features of the Hakka and Min Nan communities. This summer, the Tourism Bureau aims to promote the unique flavors of Taiwanese tea from north to south. The event particularly featured the tea leaves from Songboling in the Tri-Mountain area, offering an innovative "Tea Aroma Six-Sense" experience that combines touch, sight, smell, taste, hearing, and perception, allowing participants to fully relax and appreciate the rich charm of tea culture.
Director Chou also mentioned that the event not only attracted many tourism industry participants but also aimed to deepen everyone's understanding of Songboling's tea culture. Songboling is a significant tea-producing area in Taiwan. Today's event was bustling with excitement as students, travel industry professionals, and tourism leaders from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand gathered to experience the "Tea Aroma Six-Sense" spa facial masks. The popular mascot, Oh Bear, also joined the fun, posing for photos with participants and adding a lively touch to the event.
In addition to the tea aroma experience, local specialty industries and tourism businesses from the Tri-Mountain area showcased and sold their products and delicacies. The tea tasting area featured limited free tastings of tea leaves and tea art from the Baguashan Songboling region, delighting participants. Many expressed that while they regularly drink tea, tasting such a variety of tea leaves was a rare and enjoyable experience.
The event's highlights didn't end there. Music performances by the Royal Tea Band, internet celebrity cellist Little Ya, singer Lin Yu-Tze, Because Handpan and the Gull & K Vocal Band added musical charm. There were also various bonus activities, market gifts, and 1-dollar auction events, drawing large crowds to bid and experience.
Director Tsao Chung-Yu of the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration welcomed domestic and international tourists to visit the Baguashan Songboling Tea Culture Theme Pavilion for the tea aroma six-sense experience. The administration will collaborate with the Nantou County Songling Tea Art and Culture Association and the Mingjian Industry Tourism Development Association to promote tea experience activities and short trips, enhancing the cultural tourism brand of Songboling and attracting more visitors.
