Thai Flight Attendant Stays and Teaches at School in Kaohsiung for Love

The Education Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government promotes the teaching of new residents' languages and has cultivated 384 qualified teaching staff to teach on campus. Zhang Shaoling, a new Thai resident of China Airlines, decided to settle in Kaohsiung with her husband two years ago and passed the examination of the qualified school support staff of languages of new residents. In September this year, she has started teaching Thai and promoted home culture at Kaohsiung Yangming Junior High School, Sinshang, Jiachang, and Zhengxing Elementary School.

Zhang Shaoling, who is from Thailand and the second generation of local Chinese immigrants, graduated from the Department of Journalism at Thammasat University. As a super fan of Mayday, she regarded Kaohsiung as her second hometown and participated in New Year's Eve concert for many years. She ended the work at China Airlines 2 years ago and settled in Kaohsiung with his husband. She currently teaches Thai and promotes Thai culture at school. She likes sharing the hometown cuisines with her students and let them understand Thailand.

Zhang Shaoling hopes that by sharing the different cultures of Southeast Asian countries, students can broaden their international perspectives.

Apart from the teaching job, she also set up a facebook page, "ON MY BIKE WAY" to share her experiences of exploring in Kaohsiung, and one of her works, "Love doesn't have limits, just one shot" was even selected by the National Immigrant Agency (NIA) as the Excellent Award of the video section of the 5th New Residents and Children Dreams Building Program.
