On October 13, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced four new confirmed case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. All those cases are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the four new imported cases, they are three men and one woman, aged between 20 to 59 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines, the US (two cases), and Indonesia. They arrived between September 17 and October 11.

The CECC reported that a total of 3,644,206 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 3,627,283. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,313 cases. Of the 16,313 confirmed cases, 1,676 are imported; 14,583 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 110 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 846 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 846 deaths, 834 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
