According to recent reports from migrant workers, scammers have faked the 1955 hotline and the official LINE (移點通) in order to defraud l remittances under the guise of assisting migrant workers in finding new employers. Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor will take legal action against those scammers and urges migrant workers not to rely on unknown strangers who promise job connections.

Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor stated that the official LINE (移點通) is only used for the publicity of government orders and the propaganda of policy, and that it will not send migrant workers private messages to offer job employment assistance or requesting money transfers from them.
The 1955 Labor counseling and Complaint Hotline now provides counseling on labor rights and grievances for employers and migrant workers in Mandarin, English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Thai, as well as helping migrant workers identify fraud. Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor also urges migrants workers to remain calm and dial the 1955 or 165 anti-fraud hotline to protect their rights and interests if they come across strangers who want personal information or remittances in the name of a legitimate organization. Keep screenshots of the chat and your remittance records if you think you have been scammed. Then, go to the local police station right once or phone the 1955 for help reporting the crime.
