Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center recently announced that considering the slowdown and stability to control domestic epidemic, continuing to review the international and domestic epidemic situation on a rolling basis, as well as taking into consideration epidemic prevention and medical capacity, the entry restrictions will be lifted starting 00:00 on December 10th.

Central Epidemic Command Center calls on inbound passengers to cooperate in receiving 4 doses of at-home antigen rapid screening reagent at the international port and take the test during the 7 days self-quarantine. Passengers with symptoms 14 days before the entry are required to notify the airport or port quarantine personnel of the Disease Control Department upon entry, and follow the assessment of the quarantine personnel, cooperate with saliva collection and testing in international ports and prioritize returning to residence by epidemic prevention vehicles.

The Command Center stressed that with the opening of borders and the increase in the number of arrivals, they will continue to closely monitor the detection of variants within the island and the subsequent epidemic trend, and adjust relevant strategies and epidemic prevention packages on a rolling basis. The Command Center also called on public to implement relevant epidemic prevention norms, together maintaining community safety, and move towards normal life.
