Taipei Marathon“Run The City”will kick off on December 19. Taipei City Deputy Mayor Cai Bing Kun (蔡炳坤) said that all runners can take off their masks during the road run except at the starting and finishing lines. In response to this, The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) stated that the runners are allowed to be mask-free only after there is enough distance between each other at the starting line. Moreover, the participants must fulfill 3 requirements.

Following the regulations of the CECC, Taipei City requires each runner to provide health reports after registration. It includes “At least received one dose of vaccine for 14 days or more”, “medical proof of recovery from the disease or notice for release from isolation treatment.”, and “A negative PCR/rapid antigen test report.”

Either of the aforementioned requirements allows you to join the mask-free marathon.

In addition, all the staff and volunteers of the race must also provide the aforementioned health reports or rapid antigen test report before the race. Cai Bing Kun said that the 12 foreign elite runners must also comply with the 14-day quarantine and practice 7-day self-health management, and a negative PCR test report the day before the event.
