As countries have adjusted their border control, resumed international flights, and boosted tourism, Vietnam also restarted tourism on March 15 to welcome foreign tourists. Passengers can not only sign up for tour groups but also arrange self-guided tours. For foreign tourists visiting Vietnam for sightseeing, Ho Chi Minh City is currently the only area that international tourists are allowed to enter.

To ensure the safety of tourists and encourage them to travel, a travel agency in Vietnam plans to provide tourists with overseas travel insurance premiums worth 2.4 billion VND (equivalent to NT$2.94 million), and 240 million VND (equivalent to New Taiwan Dollars). NT$290,000) for COVID-19 testing.

Vietnam reported 56,000 new cases in a single day on February 22. Nearly 700 people were diagnosed in the capital Hanoi, while Ho Chi Minh City was affected by the mutant virus Omicron, reporting 1,000 cases. Vietnamese society tends to coexist with the virus. To ensure the health and safety of all passengers, airlines stated that passengers must hold a negative nucleic acid test (PCR) report before entering the country.
