According to [GMA News Online], incessant rain due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) caused property damage and flooding in several Mindanao areas on Friday.
According to Lei Alviz's 24 Oras report, heavy thunderstorms were reported in General Santos City on Thursday evening.

According to [GMA News Online], there was also inclement weather in Kidapawan City causing several nearby rivers to burst their banks and flood low-lying areas. The current was still strong along the Nuangan River on Friday morning. Raging waters were also seen at the Kabacan River, with logs stuck under bridges. The Aringay Bridge was temporarily closed to give way to clearing operations.

Meanwhile, a bridge used by locals to cross over to another town in Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat, was destroyed. Waters also destroyed crops and flooded homes.
According to [GMA News Online], flooding at the Central Park Subdivision in Davao City did not immediately subside, preventing motorists from driving through the area. Barangay Bunawan had gutter-deep floods following the overflow of the Bunawan River, slowing down vehicles.
