Taiwan government has promoted a new southbound policy and the number of foreign students has increased year by year. The Labor Affair Bureau of Tainan City Government launched the “New Southbound Visiting Care” service and continued to protect the relevant rights and interests of foreign students. On July 1, the Director of the Labor Affair Bureau, Wang Xin Ji (王鑫基) led the relevant profession colleagues and Kunshan University to Chiangbao Industrial Co., Ltd. and visited 30 Vietnamese students from International Class of New Southbound Industry Cooperation Study of Kunshan University to caring them for the situation of studying and working.
The company provided free transportation and meals for foreign students. Cai Jun (才俊), the director of Information Engineering Department of Kunshan University thanked the company for taking care of this group of foreign students, and thanked the Labor Affair Bureau for acting a bridge between schools, students and enterprises. During the visit, the Labor Affair Bureau also reminded the relevant laws and regulations that should be paid attention, let the company have the assistance of relevant government units when taking care of this group of foreign students, and they can correctly handle the relevant laws and regulations, so that these foreign students can be fully protected by laws and regulations.
The Director of the Labor Affair Bureau, Wang Xin Ji said that the labor rights of foreign students enrolled in the current new southbound policy is one of the services that the Bureau is currently actively involved in care and assistance.
