On July 1, the TPASS Executive Yuan Commuter Pass went on sale in Keelung-Taipei City-New Taipei City-Taoyuan, Changhua-Taichung-Nantou-Miaoli, and Tainan-Kaohsiung-Pingtung, the three main living circles. Taiwan Railway must utilize a specific channel since it hasn't finished integrating the gates for swiping tickets at this time, which has led to many individuals being barred because they went to the wrong gate. As a result of cross-regional usage, certain individuals have also been debited. The integration of all the gates is expected to be finished by the end of this year, according to Taiwan Railway. To assist the public during this time, more personnel will be deployed at the stations.

According to Taiwan Railway, travelers using TPASS Executive Yuan Commuter Monthly Passes are required to board the Taiwan Railway using the designated channel and card reader. Among them, the gate will not be opened to travelers to avoid them from being deducted if there is any monthly pass plan bound.
Taiwan Railway also reminded users that TPASS Executive Yuan Commuter Monthly Passes must be used within their respective life circles and that passengers must use designated channels to enter and depart stations in reaction to the circumstance where passengers were deducted as a result of using TPASS over regional boundaries. For example, if you hold Keelung-Taipei City-New Taipei City-Taoyuan TPASS Monthly Pass; enter the station from Taipei Station but get off the train at Hsinchu Station; the system will automatically subtract the amount from the electronic ticket rate and charge you for the whole Taipei to Hsinchu trip.
