Luggage Fair Culture Exhibition, Chunghua and New Residents Celebrating International Migrants Day Together

Chunghua County Government held "2019 International Migrants Day Celebration Event-the 108th Chunghua County Outstanding New Residents Family Award Ceremony and Women Educational Achievements Presentation" on the morning of December 15 at National Yuanlin Chungshih Industrial High School.

Chunghua County Mayor Wang Huimei lauded the 20 groups of outstanding new residents' families and the 20 outstanding new residents to express Chunghua's gratitude and value for them.

The theme of the year was "luggage" to represent that new residents came to Taiwan with a piece of luggage. The event was combined with a culture exhibition of luggage and a luggage fair to invite new residents to share their life experiences to promote cultural communication.

County Mayor Wang mentioned that Chunghua County has more than 20,000 new residents, and most of them came to Taiwan for marriage. Therefore, it is important to assist them in adapting to Chunghua County and working hard together for Chunghua. The purpose of the County Government lauding the outstanding new residents who have contributed a lot to their families and Chunghua today was to let every group of new residents adapt to this foreign hometown. Also, it is one of the directions that Chunghua County Government, County relevant units such as Department of Education, Department of Social Affairs, and Department of Civil Affairs have worked hard on. They also all appreciated the devotions made by new residents and hoped that those new residents could excel in this foreign country.

Apart from the new residents from various countries, this event was also combined with Women Educational Achievements Presentation that represented "Chunghua women power" and the presentation of the achievements of the second skills. Through the interacting teaching and the DIY experience, women's enthusiasm and energy also lit up the event. The event also provided the consultation service, a "Booth of welfare advocacy", and a challenge game, and it was hoped that the public's understanding of women and new residents could enhance. The program of the activity also included the ethnic stage show, Luggage Fair Culture Exhibition, and related creative activities that all expressed the core concept of understanding the ethnic culture and creating a better atmosphere. People were also encouraged to understand multiculturalism in this fun way, to make new residents and Taiwan closer, to respect each other, and to enjoy this happy International Migrants Day together.
