The theme of the cover story, "A Day in the Life," of the inaugural issue features a new Vietnamese immigrant(阮氏錦鸞) who has been in Taiwan for 23 years and has two sons. She runs Vietnamese restaurant in Dulan Village. The Vietnamese new immigrant said that when she first came to Taitung, it was a bit difficult to find ingredients and spices for Vietnamese cuisine, but she still uses local ingredients to make Vietnamese cuisine that she misses. In order to promote Vietnamese culture in Taitung, customers are encouraged to order food in Vietnamese, and free side dishes are provided, so that every guest who comes to the restaurant can learn more about Vietnamese culture.
