Taipei City mayor Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) announced that people can register for vaccines through the online booking system. However, some groups do not have access to or have difficulty operating with the internet. From July 23 to 30, Taipei city will allow those over 50 years old to register for their vaccines via telephone.

To increase vaccine coverage, mayor Ko announced that this time period is limited. He also stated that around 10% of people, precisely around 8%, who undergo home isolation still get diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. To prevent the risk of infection, people are encouraged to stay in quarantine hotels instead.
