  • The Tourism Bureau rolls out financial incentives program to draw foreign tourists travel to Taiwan

As the epidemic slows down, the borders of countries are gradually opened.

The Tourism Bureau, MOTC rolls out incentives program to attract tourists travel to Taiwan. Foreign tourists who come to Taiwan for self-guided tour will have the opportunity to receive a limited amount of NT$ 5,000 in cash or equivalent e-coupons. A subsidy of NT$10,000 to NT$20,000 will be provided to travel agencies that send or lead groups of tourists to Taiwan and will also increase the salaries of employees in the hotel industry.

  • Foreign travelers of self-guided tour can take the Taipei Sightseeing Bus for free

Taipei Sightseeing Bus launched a 4-hour free ticket promotion for foreign tourists, starting from March 14th to June 30th. Tourists can pay visit to Discovery Center of Taipei to know the context of urban development. They can also make an appointment at the Dadaocheng Tourist Center to experience the traditional costumes. From March, Various events feature the diversity of Taipei will take place in Taipei City. The first one will be the "Taipei Flower Festival." There are also a series of summer activities in July, so that tourists will never get bored in Taipei.

  • NIA "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program" encourages overstayers to self-report.

National Immigration Agency has been operating the "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program" from February 1st of this year. An old Vietnamese father suffering from cancer came to Taiwan to visit his daughter. He was delayed in returning home due to medical treatment in Taiwan. The program allowed him to return home safely. A disconnected migrant worker from Thailand went self-report

with the accompany of an owner of Thai restaurant in Kangshan, Kaohsiung. A disconnected migrant worker who suffers from diabetes from Indonesia, received humanitarian care from NIA, and return to hometown safely.

  • Take MRT or Bus to Enjoy 2023 Taipei Neihu Strawberry Festival

2023 Taipei Neihu Strawberry Festival, which takes place between December and the beginning of May of the following year. The majority of strawberry gardens are located in Baishihu (White Rock Lake) of Neihu District, Dahu Street, and Antai Street are the three areas where there are 21 farms. Simply take the bus or MRT to Neihu to enjoy strawberry harvesting. The general public are welcome to enjoy the Strawberry Festival.
