The National Prayer Breakfast, which had been put on hold for three years due to the pandemic, returned this year and invited President Tsai Ing-wen to attend. More than 400 individuals were invited to pray for Taiwan, including leaders in business and politics, diplomats and other representatives stationed in Taiwan, pastors, and Doris Marie Brougham (彭蒙惠), the founder of Studio Classroom.
The first National Prayer Breakfast was held in 1935 in Seattle, Washington, and was started by a Methodist preacher. Every year, the National Prayer Breakfast is also meticulously held by Christian congregations in Taiwan. Pastors from various Christian groups congregate to bless the entire nation while praying.

Generational disparities and similar difficulties are faced by Taiwan society, according to President Tsai Ing-wen's remarks following the prayer meeting. In my capacity as president, I intend to defend justice and awe of the Lord while cooperating with everyone to advance Taiwan society. I think all the people of our nation may embrace confidence and conquer difficulties by joining forces, the President stated.
Additionally, President Tsai Ing-wen expressed her gratitude to the church for its long-standing commitment. The church is a stabilizing factor that supports Taiwanese society and has introduced the gospel to that country.

This year's National Prayer Breakfast drew more than 400 attendees, including clergymen, public servants, business executives, and diplomats. For instance, 24 delegates from the US, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, etc. were present in Taiwan.
