The national flags of the "6 Allies" are raised at the Hsinchu Fishing Port as a gesture of gratitude for their vaccine donations

To thank the six countries that donated vaccines to Taiwan, including Japan, the United States, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, their flags were raised at the Hsinchu Fishing Port. Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chi-Chien (林智堅) said that in the past, the National Mask Team of Taiwan (台灣口罩國家隊) helped other countries with donation of masks and other medical resources, and now other countries are also helping Taiwan by donating vaccines. He sincerely appreciates the international partners who have extended a helping hand to Taiwan, and that Taiwan is not alone. He said that people are welcome to visit.

Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chi-Chien pointed out that the COVID-19 epidemic has hit the world. When the epidemic broke out in 2020, Taiwan was successful in epidemic prevention and successively donated medical resources such as masks, protective clothing, and surgical gowns to other countries, proving that "Taiwan Can Help". Now that the global epidemic has worsened, and the supply of international vaccines is unstable, other countries have also extended a helping hand to Taiwan. To express Taiwan’s gratitude to the six allies, the city government raised the flags of the six countries at the flag-raising station at the intersection of Dong Da Road and Hsin Kang 1^st Road, at the Hsinchu Fishing Port. People are welcome to visit when they pass by Nanliao.

In addition, the Hsinchu Fishing Port in Nanliao (南寮的新竹漁港) has been successfully transformed in recent years. Everyone is welcome to visit during the holidays. It the best spot for viewing the sunset, and the fish scale stairway (魚鱗天梯), and there is the fish products direct sales center with the freshest seafood.
