Hualien Happy Christmasland Providing Multiple Payments Service

In response to the expansion of the fall and winter domestic travel subsidy program of Taiwan Tourism Bureau of Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Hualien County Government held the “2019 Hualien Happy Christmasland” from December 19 to 25. The event will include the biggest 3D projection mapping of churches and the only Christmas market providing the multiple payments service. The Hualien County Government would also transform into Santa Claus to send Christmas gifts before the event approaching, and "Q coins" that can be used to redeem within the Christmas market would be given for two consecutive weeks of Tuesday and Wednesday (12/10, 12/11, 12/17, and 12/18). The public is welcomed to collect Christmas gifts on the official website of “Hualien How Q”.

The acting chief of the Hualien Tourism Department, Zhang Zhixiang, states that the first Christmas event held last year was well-reputed. Cooperating with the Hualien Mei-Lun Baptist Church, the Hualien Tourism Department again organized the “Hualien Happy Christmasland” event at the White Lighthouse Park. The romantic 9-meter tall Christmas tree has been lit on December 1, and the major events have been on stage from December 19 to 25, including the 2019 biggest 3D projection mapping of churches, a Christmas market, a Christmas concert, and a Christmas celebration…etc. On the 21st, there will be a Christmas parade of retro reindeer scooters in Taiwan. There will be 200 retro scooters departing at 5 p.m. from Hualien’s hottest Facebook check-in place, Container Starbucks at Paradiso, passing through the Dongdamen Night Market and the Pine Garden, and arriving at the White Lighthouse Park at 6:00.

The Christmas market will include 50 special booths to provide the only service of multiple payments, such as Line Pay, JKOPAY, Apple Pay, credit cards, and Easycards that people don't need to pay by cash. The biggest spotlight of the activity is that the digital voucher, “Hualien How Q”, will attract the public to participate in, to consume at the market, and to bring in great effectiveness of guide-purchases. The county government will be giving “Q Coins” at noon on December 10, 11, 17, and 18. The limit amount of 500 sets will be provided, and each set has 100 points. Everyone’s welcomed to collect “Q Coins” on the website of “Hualien How Q” to splurge at the Christmas market!
