Taoyuan City Department of Labor stated that there are 711,001 migrant workers in Taiwan, whereas there are 114,777 migrant workers in Taoyuan City which is the highest number in Taiwan. Therefore, Taoyuan City Department of Labor held graduation ceremony on 20th to give the study certificate to the migrant worker students after taking class in three months in migrant worker academy.
Department of Labor stated that it assigned for National Taiwan Sports University and Landseed Foundation to open 8 English-Chinese conversation classes, 2 financial education classes, 15 skillful classes 25 fitness knowledge classes and the consultation of caregiver service. In addition to open basic and advanced conversation classes, it opened skillful classes as Taiwan Food class and daily skill class to teach the cooking and skills to migrant workers. It also cooperated with the i Taiwan Project of Sports Administration to add the fitness knowledge course by inviting professional fitness coach to teach migrant workers the correct skills of fitness.
There are 900 migrant workers completing the courses in academy. Due to the good feedback of migrant workers, it will continuously open the migrant worker academy in 2020 to assist the migrant workers fit in the society in Taiwan.
